Loving Care Animal Hospital Policies

No Show/Less Than 24hr Notice Fee

Please be aware that effective January 1st, 2021, we started a no-show/less than 24-hour cancellation fee of $25. We originally sent this notice out via email, through our LCAH app, and posted it on our Facebook page and website. Unfortunately, we have had so many last-minute cancellations that we end up with roughly 2 hours a day of unassigned appointment time that could have been used for a sick patient.

We are asking that when you know you will be missing your fur baby’s appointment; please let us know ASAP so we can open the schedule space for a sick patient.

Payment Policy

Loving Care Animal Hospital accepts cash, checks, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and CareCredit. Unfortunately we are not able to accept payment over the phone. The card and cardholder must be present at time of payment. Payment is due when services are rendered.


The CareCredit® program is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are willing to spend what it takes to make their pets better, but don't necessarily have the immediate resources to do so. The CareCredit® healthcare credit card can also be used to cover annual exams, heartworm and flea/tick prevention, and annual blood work.

Surgery & New Client Exam Deposit

In addition to the above we also have instituted a $100 deposit for surgeries at the time the surgery appointment is made. New Clients will be asked to leave a $50 deposit for a new patient exam. Currently we are booking out three to four weeks in advance for surgeries. Surgeries and new client visits require extra staffing and blocking of the doctor’s schedule.

We require a 24 hour notice to cancel. If we receive less than 24 hours notice, we will keep your deposit. When you reschedule the day before or don’t show up for your pet's appointment, this not only throws off our staff and doctor’s schedules, but it also creates a gap in which another patient who was pushed out another week for their surgery could have come in.

Pet Insurance

Reimbursements through a pet care insurance provider can facilitate financial relief when your pet falls ill or needs medical attention. There is a wide range in pet insurance plans including plans that cover routine preventive medicine to high deductible plans to cover unexpected illness or accidents. All fees are due at the time treatment is provided. Treatment Plans (estimates) for your pet's care are available upon request.

Prescription Filling

Please remember we ask for 48 hours to fill any medication or prescription food, This includes written prescriptions for fulfilling medications and food outside of our hospital and available pharmacies.

If you'd like to utilize our online store for medications or prescription food, please do. In this case you would not need a written prescription and your order will ship directly to you.
